8:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday

This six week intensive youth-centered summer program provides dynamic exchanges with professionals from all walks of life, (Mayors, NASA engineers, Film and Broadway producers, college students, surgeons and others) from around the world that facilitate an experiential learning environment. Students ages 10 to 14, go on field trips, read six new books (which they take home), create speeches, make illustrations/dramatizations. Students learn finance, business, entrepreneurship, S.T.E.M., Spanish, Kiswahili, Japanese, American Sign Language (ASL), nutrition/fitness, social impact issues and developing solutions for their communities. CATALYST ACADEMY DRESS CODE

The scholars are involved in activities all over the school campus or wherever we take them for trips. We want your scholar to be
comfortable and safe. Also we want to protect them as much as possible from the elements like the sun, bee stings, uneven surfaces, plant resins, metallic surfaces or be compromised in the photos that we take.

The following dress code is to be followed. If not followed the scholar will be returned home, this includes the trips:

Wear loose-fitting long slacks/jeans without holes. (No shorts)
Wear loose-fitting shirts and blouses, nothing revealing, nor should the shirts be short or rolled up to show any part of the torso. No sheer clothing.
Wear fully covered shoes like sneakers. No heels, slingbacks, sandals, crocs, bedroom
shoes or mushroom shoes, shower shoes, plastic shoes, slides or open toe shoes
Hair past the shoulders must be contained i.e., a net or scarf. Natural locs must be clean and groomed.
Natural hair colors only and no eyelashes.
Nails trimmed or cut to be workable/ safe.
Dresses/ skirts are to be worn at knee or below length.
Personal grooming daily (brush teeth, shower/bath) is expected
